Directly translates to… March is going to be SUCH A LONG MONTH. Or “all men must die.” One or the other.
Good Guy HBO is doing everything it can to fill the Game of Thrones shaped hole in all of our hearts. They’ve released three more teasers for the upcoming 4th season. They’re pretty exciting… even if they also serve to remind us how far away April is.
“They’re dragons, Khaleesi. They can never be tamed. Not even by their mother.”
Tyrion in the Dungeon
“Come for a last look?”
Stark children (minus Rickon)
“The first time I saw you, you were just a child. A girl from the North come to the capital for the first time. You’re not a child anymore.”
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a sucker for good marketing and advertising, and HBO has always done a fantastic job when it comes to getting people extra excited about Game of Thrones. Remember the dragon shadows for Season 3?
Now, HBO has commissioned 3D street art of The Wall in London and it’s AMAZING. The artwork is intended to promote the release of Season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray, but it’s also just in time for Season 4 so it’s a win, win, win.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already watched this 100 times, so I’ll just leave this here, sans commentary.
Seriously, though… GET HYPE.
All of the photos belong to HBO where you can check out the entire collection.
Here are 7 that made me pee my pants a little bit:
Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand – I LOVE them so much.
Daenerys <3’s Daario 4 –>
You know nothing, Jon Snow.
Arya and the Hound — At quick glance, I thought the Hound was checking his iPhone.
Tyrion and poor, sad Sansa.
Tyrells – because the best schemes include your kick ass grandma.
A Dance with Dragons has been slow going. I’m about halfway through, but it’s also halfway through January, so progress has been slower than I expected. I had forgotten what an engaging writer GRRM is, but I also forgot how tedious certain viewpoints can be. In the case of this book, Davos chapters take the wind right out of my sails. I’ll groan, put it down to fold some laundry or something, and get sidetracked in other things for the rest of the night.
It’s not that his chapters are not as well written, because they certainly are. I can’t say exactly why, but for whatever reason, I’m just not interested in anything from his or anyone from the Iron Islands (ZZZzzzZZZ) perspective. That being said, there are some exciting things happening in the other chapters and I can’t wait to pick up with Tyrion tonight.
While we’re on the subject, Game of Thrones season 4 trailer was released this weekend. If you’re a fan, you were all over this on Sunday, but it’s worth another viewing (or dozen). Other than dragons (obviously), I think I’m most excited to see Oberyn Martell–see the 1:05 to 1:10 marks. “Lannisters aren’t the only ones who pay their debts.” Chills! Of all the places in Westeros, Dorne is my favorite one to read about, so I’m looking forward to seeing it realized on the screen.
What are you hoping to see in Season 4?
